I am working on an passion project that's about finding ways
to help the sport of Motocross grow at the grassroots level
I believe kids that grow up riding dirt bikes are the luckiest kids in the world!
So bringing that opportunity to more kids is my goal.
I believe that there are things that could be done that would help the sport grow in a big way
specifically at the grassroots level that are not being done.
I have created An A to Z plan
I'm looking for people that want to help put the plan in motion.
I not only want to find ways to help the sport grow,
I also want to start doing the things that will help the sport grow.
I believe We can rise again as a sport to levels not seen in decades.
Everybody in the motocross Industry says they want to help the sport grow.
But is anyone actually working on it?
People Say history repeats itself and I have ideas that will make this true in motocross.
We can't ride to the local field down the street anymore and make a track (in most areas) however we can strategically overcome that and other issues that have caused the sport to get stagnant by using modern tools and leverage from the internet and finding ways to unite and work together to grow the sport!
I believe there are things that we could do that would start a full on resurgence, like a remix of 1970's !
This isn't something I can do alone,
I Am looking to make Connections with people that are passionate about dirt bikes
and people in the motocross industry.
"Big picture before details" Steve Jobs
The Decline of participation in Motocross racing at the grassroots level is a subject that's talked about frequently.
I believe that there are things that could be done that would help the sport of motocross grow nationwide, some of the things I am shocked aren't already being done!
I have a strategic plan that will bring good publicity and showcase the sport of motocross in a relate-able way that makes people think that looks fun I want to try that! as opposed to that looks extreme
(This is something that is not currently being done.)
When is the last time you saw a nationwide promotion encouraging kids to ride dirt bikes?
In addition to other things we will plan live events all throughout the USA that will let the public test ride small easy to ride dirt bikes on small tracks, riding a dirt bike is fun and addictive! it sells itself,
just letting people try it is half of the battle.
Since Mini MX/ Pit bike riding is organically on the rise I believe This is our chance to take the ball and run with it!
The sport of motocross hasn't changed with the times, I have some fresh ideas that I believe will help get the sport growing again.
I have the formula, I need help implementing it. If you want to see motocross grow at the grassroots level this is how it will happen.
I wrote this pre pandemic
and I am aware that we have seen an increase in sales during the corona pandemic (which is great)
The things I am working on will still help bring new people into the sport and help to retain new riders.
"when you grow up you tend to get told that the world is the way it is and that your supposed live your life inside the world, try not to bash into the walls to much, try to have a nice family, have fun, save a little money. that's a very limited life.
Life can be much broader, once you discover one simple fact, and that is that everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you.
And you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.
Once you learn that, you'll never be the same again"
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
I love the sport of motocross
I got a lot out of it as a kid and i want to bring that experience to kids that may otherwise never try it
and I have plans that will make that possible with some help from the industry.
Together we can grow the sport!
I have worked in Sales & Marketing in other industries for many years and I have been a diehard motocross enthusiast for 30 plus years, as most of you know the sport of motocross has been declining in participation for a long time, I believe there are things that could be done to help change that and I want to help advocate for the sport.
I did a long term deep dive study on the history of the sport of motocross, documenting everything that changed over the years and what the effects each change had on participation levels going all the way back to the early 1970's.
I believe that by studying what changes had the biggest impact on participation that we can get ideas to help the sport grow in the future.
I believe that I found what I was searching for,
and that I now have the best possible solutions available at this time to help get the sport growing again but I need help from the industry.
I am currently trying to set up meetings within the motorcycle industry to fine tune a strategic plan that will help with future growth and participation levels nationwide,
